This is a fantastic opportunity for not only seasoned actors to flex their theatrical muscles but also for those who have always wanted to try acting. You can still be a part of the action by purchasing tickets for the Saturday night show. On Saturday morning, the actors and directors return to begin rehearsing, finding the perfect props and costumes, and getting everything ready for the grand finale - the Saturday night performance! Be there to witness the magic as these actors bring newly created shows to life before your very eyes. On Friday at 7:30 pm, actors will audition for our team of writers and directors, followed by a night of non-stop writing where the talented writers spend the entire night in the theatre, crafting unique and captivating shows that will have you on the edge of your seat. The group is now led by a dedicated staff and hundreds of volunteers who strive to provide the Pensacola community with entertainment and education through volunteering, outreach, classes, and performances. Classes will be held on November 16th and 17th from 6:00 - 6:45 a.m. The abandoned city landmark was transformed into what is now the Pensacola Cultural Center and the group christened its new home with a production of “The Wizard of Oz” in 1996. The group is now located in the old Escambia County Court of Records Building and Jail. Auditions are held annually in August, and if accepted, the student may register for this class for the remainder of their high school career.

Founded in 2015 the PLT Academy is a capstone acting, improv, and video production company for hard-working teens who are serious about theatre. Early performances were held in the old Chamber of Commerce auditorium, and then eventually moved to Pensacola High School. Since their founding in 1936, they have performed at many locations throughout Pensacola. Staying true to the true nature of a community theatre troupe, they have held their performances all over the city. The group has been entertaining the Pensacola community for more than 80 years.
